About ThinkSpace
ThinkSpace was started in 2007 to replace and extend two promising ISU-grown educational systems which presented complex problem-solving cases: Diagnostic Pathfinder and Problem Solving Learning Portal.
Diagnostic Pathfinder was built using nearly $2 million of funding from the US Dept of Education, USDA and university seed grants. Both of these systems were unable to sustain their efforts at the end of grant funding. Soon after another tool was added to ThinkSpace, called MyCase. In addition to providing educational experiences geared towards developing students’ broader skills, an underlying goal of ThinkSpace was to provide a single, sustainable web-based system to support a variety of educational systems which would not be sustainable individually.
Research on ThinkSpace
ThinkSpace faculty have conducted research regarding the impact of ThinkSpace on learning. Each publication can help you learn methods of adapting ThinkSpace into your classroom and show you real results.
